The Best CND Shellac Manicure in Perth

Updated: 5 hours ago

Have you been looking for a polish that won't damage your nails or leave them thin and weak after removal? We all love a fresh polish and those colours are so enticing. Now you can have your cake and eat it without the nail damage.

I've had a few clients new to my salon and mentioned that Shellac has damaged their nails. They disliked the buffing before application, removal with soaking in acetone and even worse, the use of drills! Unfortunately, these practices are only going to damage the natural nails, making them weaker.

If you have ever experienced this, then you did not receive the real CND Shellac Service!

Shellac is very different to gel polish; Shellac is a brand by CND. (Creative Nail Design) It's hybrid so its half gel-half polish and is referred to by CND as a Power Polish.

CND Shellac has a unique eight-patent formula, and it's easy removal with CND Nourishing Remover (Offly Fast) in 5 minutes means zero, zip damage.

CND SHELLAC is also 3 free, so it does not include Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate) and it's also Hypogenic. That means it's safer to wear than nail polish.

While similar products mimic what CND created. CND Shellac is also the only non-damaging, long-lasting polish that doesn’t require soaking, filing or roughing of the natural nail. So, no buffing-means you get to keep your nail layers!

Many women will venture out to salons in search of beautiful long nails. Most will go with enhancements-Acrylic/SNS, thinking these are the only options available. Don't get me wrong, they can look beautiful, in fact I use to wear them myself...for many years, until I started using CND Shellac. When clients come to me for safe removal of Acrylic Nail or SNS, and I perform a fresh CND Shellac Manicure, they can feel the difference. It's a beautiful natural feel and look. I have been working with CND (Creative Nail Design) for over 9 years now and it truly is an amazing product. My client's love the wear (up to 3 weeks in fact).

So, enhancing the natural nails with a product like CND Shellac, is NOT going to cause any damage with repeat wear. This is why I now specialise in the natural nails. It's also beneficial for clients wanting to stop biting their nails. Clients have been able to achieve beautiful healthy nails, and many have been coming to my salon for CND Shellac for years.

If you're looking to grow your natural nails, keep reading and have this as a reminder, the next time you are searching for a salon and would like the real CND Shellac with no nail damage, you now know what to look out for, the right steps, and the no-no's with the treatment.

Here's some useful information for spotting CND Shellac.

All bottles including Base Coat, Colour Coat and Top Coat will be labelled CND Shellac.

Your CND Shellac service should always be cured with a CND Lamp, either LED or UV.

Please see pictures below to help you become familiar with CND labels.

CND have created their own remover that is acetone-based nourishing remover (Offly Fast) that's infused with macadamia and vitamin E oils to condition the nail and cuticles. It also avoids damaging surrounding skin.

Removal is easy with Cotton pads soaked in nourishing remover and secured with foil, after 5 minutes, it then gently removes off the Shellac with an orange stick.

Please note an orange stick is the only tool that should be used on the natural nails to help remove CND Shellac, anything else could damage the nail plate.

No buffing of the top coat is required before applying nourishing remover.

Procedure for application of CND Shellac

1. A dry manicure is performed prior to application to ensure maximum adhesion to the natural nails and Scrub Fresh is used to clean the nail of any oil or dirt.

2. A thin layer of CND Shellac Base Coat is applied and set under a CND UV or LED lamp for 10 seconds. Please note curing times will vary with LED and UV Lamps.

3. Apply one thin coat of CND Shellac Colour of your choice.

4. Cure under CND UV or LED lamp for 2 minutes.

5. Apply a second coat of CND Shellac Colour of your choice.
